perfect whimsy and fun, i couldn't resist making this little stuffed guy.  peter's twin...

 

he has a paper clay painted head and a painted fabric stuffed body.  just the right amount of 

squish~

she loves halloween as much as i do. 

i have decided even though i spend a lot of time in the studio working on orders for the shop, i still need

time just for me to create whatever i feel like.  no strings attached kind of a thing.  

plus i just have pumpkins on the brain right now.  it is time to harvest our patch of ghost pumpkins we 

grew in the garden and there is a neighborhood chili and cobbler cook off this saturday with a pumpkin

carving contest!

halloween party time

i'm the one who woke up this morning for fall break and wanted to go to ihop for pancakes...
my kids wanted to sleep in....
duds....

instead i will plan my halloween party!  my second favorite holiday, i just wish october were a wee bit longer so i could celebrate.  not enough dark and spooky nights for me.

this fabulous tissue fan garland from Everlylanedesign would be perfect over the table.  i don't know why i can't get enough of these tissue fans lately.

high tea at the little yellow couch~

the shop made the front page of the little yellow couch  today.  love the black and white theme for a tea party.  those are my vintage crepe paper ruffles No. 4     time for some spidery tea cakes don't you think~

these ghost pops from delish would do the trick, i love the fog in the photo....
or how about the black widow goat cheese log. not very appetizing since we found a black widow in the shower this week!

you could send out these fun vintage party invitations and you would be ready to go.

free to a good home, little retro red nosed reindeer with a broken leg

well, nearly free~
i have to put 20 cents to create the etsy listing. this little reindeer has a crack in her front left leg.
it is not terribly noticeable, the leg is still attached and it looks like it might disappear mostly with
a bit of glue. still just darling but needs a good home.

this little reindeer ornament is a reproduction of a vintage decoration made in japan in the 1950's. i have one of the original reindeer molded in plastic with the paint nearly worn off. such a sweet ornament for your tree, perhaps tied on a lovely gift, tucked in a holiday stocking, or used in a holiday vignette or shadowbox. i know you will enjoy this darling little deer for many years to come.

measures 3-1/2 inches tall by 2-1/2 inches wide. light weight resin deer comes with a narrow twine hanger.
