i can't help it. . .

i just can't help it. . .
i am already thinking christmas. maybe it is the gorgeous glass garland that arrived last week and is sitting in a glass bowl on my desk.

it could be that candice and i are going to be vendors at silver bella this november, lots to get ready for that.
or i guess i could blame it on the vintage sequin cherries and the candy striped trim i bought.

the tags for these little millinery fruits could be the culprit.

i know i should get a grip here, it is only the middle of august. its just i adore everything vintage and christmas, sparkly and shiny, and all the lights glowing in the snow.

no, i am not wishing snow on anyone right now. but the heat is dragging me down and i want to come in all chilly and have a cup of cocoa with creme and snuggle in a big blanket and read a book.
hard to enjoy that right now.
so until everyone else is with me on this christmas thing i guess i'll just hang in there a few more weeks. . .

I'm with you, Julie. I have already bought a bunch of little vintage Christmas things. I too have a glass jar full of the beads from a broken vintage glass garland. It's all so pretty, like candy. I love snuggling in with my family and doing crafts with the kids. Can't wait to watch my 3 year old decorate the tree this year, he's finally old enough to 'get it'. But after Christmas the cold lasts another couple of months and we'll be yearning for summer then. I should try to be happy in the moment I'm in!

Actually, I'm thrilled to think about the cool weather and holiday merriment. I've been stashing Christmas gifts and buying wrapping paper off and on all summer so it's nice to have company.

It's terrific you guys will be at Silver Bella and I can't wait to check out what delights you guys have put together.

LOVE all your wonderful Christmas photos...I'm thinking the Christmas vibe is going around...last month I stocked up on a whole dish of sequined berries and fruit, and my favorite all year decorating must have is glass jars filled with sparkly stuff...glass beads, etc. Thanks for the lovely photos!

Your pictures are lovely, but with the temps in Phoenix still hovering about 106, I just can't pull myself in the Christmas direction. Not this week, at least.

For a busy crafter, it is never too early to start thinking about Christmas. During Christmas holidays i am already making notes about things we want to try next time.

Have a great time at Silver Bella, it is on my wish list that one year Santa finds a way to get me there.

I thought I was the only one! I've been plugging away on holiday gifts and holiday show items and last night even dreamed about Christmas -- actually taking the tree down, which was very sad and I woke up grumpy!

How lovely to visit you for the first time!
